Jaffa man killed in ongoing crime families feud
By BEN HARTMAN

Police believe shooting is linked to feud between the Hamad and Ayash families, no arrests have been made so far.

A feud between two Jaffa families claimed another victim on Saturday, when a 23- year-old local resident Iyad Yatim was shot down outside his house during a brawl, Tel Aviv Police said.

The victim was taken to Wolfson Medical Center in Holon, where he soon died, Tel Aviv Police spokeswoman Orit Friedman said.

Police believe the shooting was linked to the feud between the Hamad and Ayash families, the two most powerful crime gangs in Jaffa.

Police were trying to determine how the shooter fled the scene, but were working under the assumption he left in a car or a scooter, Friedman said.

The YAMAR investigative unit has been tasked with the case. No arrests have been made.

Two months ago, a 23-yearold Arab from Jaffa was killed in a drive-by shooting on Yefet Street in the city. Police believe that shooting was also linked to the Hamad-Ayash feud, Friedman said.

No suspects have been arrested in that shooting either.
