Yigal Arnon, founder of one of Israel's largest law firms, dies at 84

Yigal Arnon, founder of one of the state's largest law firms, which carries his name, died late Sunday night at the age of 84.

His death was publicly announced on Monday with the funeral scheduled for Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at the Kfar Shmaryahu Cemetery.

Arnon founded the firm in Jerusalem in 1958 and remained its most senior partner throughout even as it expanded to Tel Aviv and grew into one of Israel`s largest five law firms with 140 lawyers

Arnon also served as a secret liaison for the state, was a chairman of several major important institutions and represented high-level politicians like former prime minister Ehud Olmert and Shas party leader Aryeh Deri.
