"The agreements to be signed will include several memorandums of understanding in the oil and gas sector as Iraq prepares to bring in various US companies," a government spokesperson said.

More than 15 people were rescued after all those on board fell into the river, the rescue agency said, adding that search and rescue operations were continuing for those still missing.
