US Vice President Joe Biden and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak met in Sharm e-Sheikh on Monday, still under the pall of the Gaza flotilla raid fallout.The two discussed reinvigorating the Israeli-Palestinian peace process – which Egypt has stressed must not be affected by the flotilla incident, methods for easing the Egyptian and Israeli embargo on Gaza which has been enforced since Hamas's takeover of the Strip, and the Iran sanctions being pushed through the UN Security Council.RELATED:US wants a shift in blockade policy, not major changePetition: A call to reasonBiden is accompanied on his trip by senior White House staff and National Security officials."We are consulting closely with Egypt, as well as our other partners, on new ways to address the humanitarian, economic, security and political aspects of the situation in Gaza," Biden was quoted as saying by AFP.
