Moshe Katsav's family expressed anger at the
former president's rape conviction on Thursday.
Katsav's wife, Gila Katsav, who did not go to the Tel Aviv District Court, said after the ruling: "I feel very bad."

"I will continue to be proud of our father, the eighth president of
Israel," he told the press as his father left the courthouse.
"This trial...is not part of Israeli morality," Katsav's son said. "They
judged according to their feelings. We will continue to stand tall. The
whole nation will know that my father, the eighth president, is
innocent."
