Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein is investigating a claim that a businessman transferred hundreds of thousands of shekels to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Channel 10 revealed Sunday night.It was suspected that a haredi businessman called Dede Grauker gave the cash to Netanyahu's chauffeur and told him to deliver it to the prime minister.Two PMO employees were allegedly witness to the event and passed on the details to the police.In response to the Channel 10 report the Justice Ministry released a statement saying that the former state comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss had received information about the alleged incident during the investigation into the "Bibi-Tours Affair." The state comptroller passed the information to the Attorney-General, who instructed the police in May 2012 to review the information and determine whether there was enough evidence to justify a criminal investigation.A month ago, the police handed the Attorney-General the conclusions of its investigation, saying that there was not an evidentiary foundation to justify opening a criminal investigation into the case.The police findings were transferred to officials in the State Attorney's office where they are currently under review.
