1 dies, 7 injuries on the roads over the holiday

Police revoke 80 licenses and impound 75 vehicles for serious traffic violations during the two-day period.

Several car accidents over the weekend throughout the country left seven people wounded and one dead.
Five people were injured, including one seriously and another critically, in a car crash along Route 65 on Saturday.
Police said the accident was a head on collision between a truck and a car.
The critically injured person was evacuated via helicopter to Rambam Medical Center.
A 30-year-old mother and her month-old baby were lightly injured after being hit by a car in Tel Aviv on Friday. A Magen David Adom team arrived on the scene and treated the two, before taking them to Ichilov hospital for further treatment.
A 25-year-old man died at a Beersheba hospital Friday overnight after he crashed his car. Initial investigations revealed that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to flip over near the Negev Beduin city, police said.
The driver was rushed to the Soroka University Medical Center in Beersheba in critical condition, where he died of his wounds.
Israel Police announced Saturday that officers around the country had arrested 67 people between Thursday and Friday for driving while under the influence of alcohol.
