Police found the body of a woman in a forest near Karmiel on Friday, identifying her as a 21-year-old resident of the city.
There had been no reports of a missing woman in the past number of days, police said, suspecting the cause of death to be murder.

Her body had reportedly been lying in the forest between Halutz Mountain and Lavon for some time, as her corpse, which showed signs of violence, had already begun to decay, Israeli media said. Police transported her body for autopsy at the Abu Kabir Forensics Institute.
The woman's husband, 24, was detained for questioning on suspicion of involvement in the murder.
Two weeks ago, two teenagers were arrested on suspicion of murdering a 13-year-old boy in Galilee Arab village of Arava. Police launched that investigation after the boy's body was found by a passerby in the morning.
