Police officers on a drugs search in the North uncovered a field of marijuana plants on Monday. ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏
The discovery occurred as narcotics officers from the Karmiel police station, backed by police intelligence officers, searched a home in Bet Jan, and found a few plants on a balcony.
As officers continued to look around the property, a field containing hundreds of plants growing outdoors was found.
Police seized 200 kilograms of cannabis during the raid.
A 50-year-old man who had been living on the property fled before police could apprehend him.
A search for the suspect is underway.
