Four inches of snow fell Sunday morning on Mount Hermon's crest, at an altitude of approximately 2,020 meters, bringing the first snowfall of this year's winter.At the lower area of the mountain three to five centimeters of of soft snow fell, mixed with rain.Rain fell throughout Israel overnight Saturday and was expected to continue intermittently on Sunday and possibly Monday.Jerusalem received 14mm of rain overnight, while Tel Aviv saw 5.7mm of rainfall. The Negev saw the heaviest showers with 26.4mm, while Haifa experienced only 1.5mm of rain.Occasional showers from the North to the Negev were expected for Sunday, according to the Israel Meteorological Service. Winds will remain gusty with unseasonably cool temperatures. There is a risk of flash floods in the Judean Desert and Jordan Valley.Towards evening, the rain and wind will gradually weaken.Monday is expected to remain unseasonably cool with isolated showers falling until noon.
