Peres sends letter of condolences to Putin over Volgograd train station bombing

President Shimon Peres sent a letter to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Sunday to offer Israel's condolences for the terrorist bombing that claimed the lives of at least 16 people in a railway station in Volgograd.
"My heart goes out to those who have been affected by this heinous deed and by previous attacks which have recently afflicted Russia," the president wrote, wishing the injured a speedy and full recovery.
"Terrorism is the cause of much senseless pain and suffering in the world, and I trust that the international community will continue to unite in a fight to eliminate this terrible scourge, and ensure peace and security to all," Peres continued.
