IDF strikes Hamas command center

On Friday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) targeted a Hamas command center located in the Ain al-Hilweh area of southern Lebanon

According to reports, this facility was used by terrorists and was situated in a civilian-populated region, with Hamas allegedly using Lebanese civilians as human shields to further its terror objectives.

Ongoing violations of the ceasefire

The IDF stated that the strike was a response to ongoing violations of the ceasefire.

The statement also noted, "The command center was recently used by Hamas terrorists to plan and prepare for attacks against IDF troops, as well as to conduct training activities aimed at advancing various attack plans against IDF forces and the State of Israel."

“The IDF is operating against the entrenchment of the Hamas terrorist organization in Lebanon and will continue to act decisively against Hamas terrorists wherever they operate, in order to remove any threat to the citizens of the State of Israel and to IDF troops.”

Later Friday night, the IDF also struck Hezbollah command centers in the Baalbek area in Lebanon.
