The IDF said it carried out strikes on Hezbollah terror infrastructure overnight into Thursday in multiple areas across southern Lebanon.

According to the military, the targets included weapons depots, missile launchers, and additional military facilities used by the Hezbollah terror organization to prepare and carry out attacks against the IDF and the State of Israel.

The IDF asserted that the existence of such infrastructure violates the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and added that it would continue to act to eliminate any threat to the country.

IDF to stay on the offensive

On Wednesday, 91st Division Commander Brig.-Gen. Yuval Gaz said the IDF would remain on the offensive in Lebanon.

“Our responsibility is that we don’t only react but also to preempt, to initiate [attacks] in order to [better] defend," he told a group of northern border region leaders. "Any place where the IDF needs to act – we will act."

Since the beginning of February, the IDF has reportedly killed at least 12 Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad terrorists in Lebanon.
