The IDF on Monday published video and images of a female Israel Air Force crew member preparing to conduct airstrikes on Iran as part of Operation Roaring Lion.
Approximately 30 female aircrew members, including pilots and navigators, are participating in the strikes, the military confirmed.
"We have prepared for this operation for a long time - hours of training and briefings," one of the combat navigators, identified as Maj. "S" stated. "The moment we take off, everything converges towards a singular purpose - to defend our home. That is the mission, and it is also the sense of responsibility that accompanies me every second in the air."
"I know that behind me stand hundreds of people - planning personnel, command and control personnel, technicians, intelligence personnel, and flight crew members who work with precision and dedication to enable us to carry out the mission in the most professional and safe manner possible," S added.
