Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy claims it seized two vessels near Farsi Island that were carrying smuggled fuel, Iranian Student's News Agency (ISNA) reported on Thursday.
The IRGC Navy’s Public Relations Department alleged that more than one million liters of fuel were found on the ships. The 15 foreign crew members were referred to judicial authorities.
According to ISNA, the vessels had been operating within a smuggling network over the past several months and were intercepted through monitoring, intelligence work, and IRGC naval operations.
