Katz stressed that rehabilitating Gaza can only come after Hamas is eliminated and Israeli hostages held in Gaza are freed.
Katz will also present his European counterparts with strategic plans and projects to promote the region, including the "Tracks for Regional Peace" initiative, connecting the Middle East and Europe.
"We expect international bodies to advance the issue of returning the hostages without discrimination and with humanity and ethics,” Katz stated.
“This doesn’t look like WWI or WWII,” he said, explaining that Israel was in the forefront of this war, “we are there for everyone.”
This is Katz’s second stint at the helm of the Foreign Ministry; he served briefly from February 2019 to May 2020.
Katz, a veteran Likud minister who first joined the Knesset in 1998, served briefly as Foreign Minister from February 2019 to May 2020.
“The economy’s energy needs will be supplied by alternative fuels… The electricity industry is preparing to use alternative fuels to power its stations.”
