Even amid conflict, Israel’s economy and capital markets continue to surge, raising questions about Saudi Arabia’s future role in regional integration.

The incident comes as India said on Thursday that an Indian-flagged ship had been attacked off the coast of Oman on Wednesday, and all crew on board were safe.

Later on Wednesday, the UAE’s Foreign Ministry released a statement denying that any visit from Netanyahu or any Israeli military officials took place.

The UAE is looking to increase its role in Syria via investment while taking a cautious approach. Key talks discussed expanding economic and investment cooperation during a two-day forum in Damascus.

The report comes just after the WSJ published that the UAE was behind some of the recent strikes against Iranian assets, such as the attacks on Lavan Island's refinery at the beginning of April.

The Saudi attacks, not previously reported, mark the first time that the kingdom is known to have directly carried out military action on Iranian soil and show it is becoming much bolder.

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee confirmed that Israel sent Iron Dome batteries to the UAE during the Iran war, marking a major step in cooperation between the two countries.

The Emirati government didn't publicly confirm its participation in the strikes against Iran, which were done before the current ceasefire started.
