95% of Jewish Israelis have Bible in home, poll finds

Ahead of the launch on Sunday of the 24th annual Tanach Conference at the Herzog Academic College in Alon Shvut, the institution conducted a poll of Israeli Jews on their affinity to the Bible, finding that 95 percent of the Jewish population has a copy of the Tanach at home.
The Tanach [Bible] Conference takes place over five days plus an additional day of Biblically themed tours of Israel and Judea and Samaria, in which 200 lectures on Bible study will be delivered to the 7,000 people who have registered so far to participate in the event.
According to the poll, conducted at the end of June 2015 on a sample of 501 individuals, although 95 percent of Jewish Israelis have a Bible at home, six percent of those are not sure where it is.
