Israel won't return bodies of dead Palestinian assailants

The Israeli security cabinet on Tuesday approved Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan's proposal to refuse to return the bodies of Palestinians who are killed by security forces after carrying out violent assaults against Jewish civilians.

The cabinet also resolved to consider Erdan's suggestion to bury the bodies of Palestinian assailants in military cemeteries throughout the country where dead terrorists in the past have been interred.

"The terrorist's family turns the funeral into a demonstration of support for terrorism and incitement to murder," Erdan said. "We cannot allow this. We must do everything so that the terrorist doesn't receive the honor and accolades after carrying out attacks."
