The IAF struck six targets in the Gaza Strip late Thursday night in response to rocket fire from the Strip earlier in the week. Two Palestinians were reported injured in the strikes.

IAF aircraft struck two weapons storage facilities in the northern strip and three tunnels used for terror activities in southern Gaza. Additionally, warplanes struck a weapons manufacturing facility in central Gaza, the IDF Spokesman's Office said.

The precision strikes hit their intended targets, the spokesman said.

Palestinian news agencies reported that a man and a young child were injured in the strike on the northern Strip. The two were seriously injured, according to the reports.

On Wednesday, Palestinian terrorists fired eight rockets into southern Israel. Seven of the rockets exploded in open fields in the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council, triggering a series of Red Alert rocket alarms. The eighth rocket struck a farming community earlier in the day.

No injuries or damages were reported in the attacks.

It was not immediately clear what type of projectiles were fired. The Kassam 2 rocket is known to have a range of 8-10 km., while the Kassam 3 has a range of 10 km.
