Teacher moonlighting as a stripper defends both his jobs

'Jewish Chronicle': Essex teacher says teaching council being immature; Garret also had an infatuation for all things Jewish.

A sex education teacher from the UK who lived a double life as a stripper under the moniker Jonnny Anglais reportedly said Wednesday that General Teaching Council in Birmingham showed an "immature attitude towards sex" when it claimed his second career was unprofessional and that he should be fired.
Benedict Garret, 30, was fired from Beal High School in Ilford, Essex after students scoping the teacher online discovered his extra work, which included stints "stripping for hen parties" and "roles in a porn film," according to the Jewish Chronicle.

Not only was Garret moonlighting as a stripper, but it turned out the teacher, who is Christian, also has a Judaic infatuation, owning a "dog named Simcha and two menorahs on top of his television," as well as taking Hebrew lessons.
Garret has visited Israel, and enjoys listening to Klezmer Music on his own time, the Jewish Chronicle reported.
Unfortunately for Garret, the hidden infatuation with Judaism was somewhat overshadowed by his work stripping for bachelorettes and acting in pornography, and the GTC said such work "undermined the public trust."
Garret did not deny the allegations, but did present a 30-minute defense in which the he claimed, according to the Chronicle, that his conduct was not unprofessional, and was no different than comparing it to teachers "going out and getting drunk off their faces. If they are doing it and it is legal, that is their choice."
