A top Iranian official on Wednesday called on Russia not to repeat US comments regarding Iran's nuclear status, according to the Iranian news agency, ISNA.Allaedin Boroujerdi, chairman of Iran's Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, made the request came after Russian President Dmitry Medvedev claimed that Iran was approaching the capability to build a nuclear weapon .RELATED:Medvedev: CIA Iran report 'worrying'"Iran's nuclear activities are clear and transparent and the IAEA inspectors can visit our sites and their cameras are monitoring Iran's nuclear work," the lawmaker said, rejecting Medvedev's claim as "fully illogical."Boroujerdi commented on the chance that the Russian president's comments could cloud the the opening of Iran's Bushehr nuclear plant explaining that, "Completion of Bushehr plant is Russia's commitment and the project is closely related with Russia's regional dignity, so their dignity will be ruined if they fail to live up to their obligations.""Russia will lose opportunity for other projects in Iran if it does not leave a good record."Regarding missing Shahram Amiri, an Iranian nuclear scientist, ISNA quoted Boroujerdi as saying, "According to intelligence, US forces abducted Amiri in Saudi Arabia and then transferred him to America.""Basically, he must return to Iran, so that different aspects of the issue would be clear," the chairman explained concerning legal pursuit of the scientist's alleged abduction."The US must be held accountable legally for the terrorist action," Boroujerdi added.In response to reports of the potential exchange of the nuclear scientist for three American hikers arrested in Iran, Boroujerdi declared, "The issue is out of question, there are other 12 Iranians abducted by the US, so Amiri is not the only case, so if any exchange is to take place, it should include other Iranians."
