A day after a shooting left two brothers wounded in Netanya, police managed to
get their hands on a pair of suspects they say are linked to the attack, which
they fear is part of a wider battle over the coastal city’s drug

The suspects, aged 27 and 28, are both residents of Netanya. They
were taken to the city’s district court on Thursday, where their remands were
extended until Monday.
The shooting took place on the corner of Zalman
Shnior and Shai Agnon streets on Wednesday night, when one of the two suspects
began firing at the victims from a distance of ten meters. Police said Thursday
they believe the suspect laid in wait for the brothers, hiding in high grass in
the yard of a nearby building until the two arrived.
Paramedics rushed to
the scene and evacuated the men to Netanya’s Laniado Hospital, with one brother
lightly wounded and the other in serious condition.
