Woman killed in car crash near Sderot

Husband critically hurt; parents were on way home from daughter's wedding when son hit barrier.

58-year-old Freicha Levy was killed and her 62-year-old husband was critically injured in a road accident overnight Sunday, when they were on their way home from their daughter's wedding in Ashdod. The accident occurred on Route 34, near the new entrance to Sderot, when their 23-year-old son lost control of the car and collided with the safety barrier. The Levy's son and their 10-year-old niece were moderately injured. Israel Radio reportedly that the driver had committed 17 driving offences in the past. Lahish Traffic Police was examining the circumstances of the incident. Meanwhile, in the northern town of Arara, a two-year-old boy was seriously injured when he was hit by a vehicle carrying school children.
