Eleven Eritrean nationals were injured Saturday in a brawl that broke out during a speech given by Eritrea's ambassador to Israel, Tesfamariam Tekeste, in Kibbutz Kinneret, Israel Radio reported.

The fighting ensued when arguments erupted between supporters and opponents of the Eritrean regime. A number of those in attendance even tried to assault the ambassador.

Police officers at the scene fired warning shots into the air and managed to extricate the ambassador from the area, according to Israel Radio.
