According to the Border Police, the Palestinian, who is in his twenties, climbed a section of the separation fence in the area of Jerusalem.

Border Police patrolling the security barrier in Jerusalem Sunday morning treated a Palestinian man who sustained serious injuries when he fell attempting to illegally scale the divider to enter Israel to find work.

The unidentified Palestinian man, in his 20s, had fallen several meters, badly breaking his leg and losing a profuse amount of blood.

Shortly after the fall, a nearby patrol unit aided the man, who was rushed to a nearby hospital by ambulance.

Border Police medic, St.-Sgt.- Maj. Hassan Amid, administered first aid to the injured Palestinian, which likely saved his life before a Red Crescent ambulance arrived.

“In cases like this, we don’t think twice,” Amid said. “We provide the best possible first aid assistance that we can.”
