Pilots for the Israeli airline El Al refused to show up to work for scheduled flights on Thursday evening, causing delays and stranding hundreds of passengers at the airport, Channel 2 reported.

Pilots claim that since the creation of El-Al's budget airline UP, their working conditions have been downgraded, the report stated.

The airline said in a statement that they were working hard to send out flights as soon as possible.
