Anti nationalist crimes unit arrests three suspects from Yitzhar settlement

Price tag attacks continue after recent spree with political leaders and security officials calling for an end to the phenomenon.

Two residents of the West Bank settlement of Yitzhar were arrested on suspicion of taking part in a price tag and a third resident is being held on charges of incitement for statements made on an internal Yitzhar internet forum, Judea and Samaria Police said Tuesday.

The arrests follow the indictment on Monday of three yeshiva students from the settlement suspected of carrying out a price tag in the Israeli Arab village of Gush Halav in April, during which the tires of 44 cars were slashed.

In the indictment, the judge said the three youths acted out of racism towards Arabs.

Price-tag attacks refer to retaliatory acts by right-wing activists against Palestinians, Israeli Arabs and IDF soldiers and army property in protest of government policy.
