Following the clashes in Wadi Ara and the Triangle, Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch visited with police at the Iron police station in Wadi Ara, where he issued a call for calm and said police would have zero tolerance for further violence.

"We have arrested dozens and we won't allow people to block streets, throw Molotov cocktails, hijack cars and hurt people and property, and threaten lives," he said.

He said that for the most part the Arab sector is helping calm the situation, saying "the heads of the local authorities are cooperating and are trying to keep the calm, its just a small number of people who are taking the law into their own hands."
