While routine appointments for visa and services will not be available on Thursday, emergency requests will be considered on case-by-case basis.

The US Embassy in Tel Aviv announced that it will offer reduced services on Thursday due to the ongoing security situation.

The embassy on Hayarkon Street suspended routine visa and services for American nationals, although emergency requests for services will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The Embassy released a statement following the escalation in violence with Gaza, saying it advises all citizens to stay updated on the official US travel websites as well as follow Israel's Home Front Command instructions.

As well, the Embassy said that Chief of Mission personnel will not be allowed to travel south of Tel Aviv without approval and that Embassy families are being advised to remain at home.

Israel was hit with more than 70 rockets from Gaza on Wednesday.
