Betar Jerusalem climbed one place to 11th position in the Premier League standings on Wednesday after the Israel Football Association disciplinary High Court accepted its appeal and cancelled the one-point deduction it was handed two weeks ago for the racist chants shouted by its fans at Hapoel Tel Aviv midfielder Salim Toama last month.The disciplinary court upheld the NIS 60,000 fine and the two-point deduction suspended sentence until the end of this season, while also handing the team a separate two-point deduction suspended sentence for the 2011/12 campaign.“Betar’s management and players call upon the fans to cease all racist chants,” a club press release read. “The team faces a two-point deduction for any similar offense and anyone who loves Betar Jerusalem does not shout racist chants.”
