The Israel Police on Sunday arrested three individuals suspected of being involved in the murder of a Palestinian during a Saturday attack against the village of Qusra, in the West Bank.

"According to reports, as a result of the incident, several people involved were injured, who were evacuated by the Red Crescent, and one of them was later pronounced dead," the police spokesperson said.

The suspects were released "under restrictive conditions" after appearing in court for a hearing. "At this stage, the investigating unit filed a stay of execution for the release of one of the detainees and intends to appeal the decision," the police added.

In a separate event on Sunday, seven suspects were arrested for illegally bulletproofing vehicles in the West Bank and then using them in Israel for criminal activities.

Another six Israelis were arrested in connection with the case, while seven bulletproof vehicles were seized, the police added.

Police investigate fire that damaged synagogue in Ramle

Police are investigating a fire that broke out on Saturday night in Ramle, which damaged a synagogue and a distribution center for those in need, according to a Sunday morning statement. 

"At this stage, all lines of investigation are being examined," said central district Chief Superintendent Effi Tshuva. The report added that investigators suspect arson based on initial findings.

According to the police report, the fire was set in the food distribution center located behind a synagogue. The fire spread to the synagogue as it grew, causing extensive damage. 

Also on Saturday night, Border Police in Taybeh arrested two suspects on suspicion of possessing unlicensed weapons. During the arrest, police confiscated two Kalashnikov assault rifles, two pistols, and several magazines.

The suspects were taken in for further questioning.

Security forces arrest nine individuals suspected of involvement in violent crime in Ramle

Over the weekend, Israel Police and Border Police coordinated a joint operation during which nine suspects were arrested across the city of Ramle on suspicion of being involved in various violent incidents throughout the city. 

During the operation, security forces were dispatched to the home of one of the suspects following reports of gunshots in the area. Several suspects were located there, and the home was searched.

The suspects were then taken in for further questioning.

Investigators call for public to come forward with information about suspected sex offender

On Sunday morning, Jerusalem district police published a photo of a suspected sex offender Tzvi Dov Lipshitz, a 23-year-old Jerusalem resident who allegedly committed sexual offenses against a minor.

Lipshitz was arrested the week before, and his arrest was extended on Friday for six more days. The courts permitted his image and name to be published on Sunday morning in an effort to encourage other victims to come forward with information about his suspected crimes.
