The Israel Air Force struck and destroyed an aircraft used by Iran's former supreme leader at Mehrabad Airport, the IDF announced on Monday.
The IDF said the strike occurred overnight and targeted an aircraft used by Ali Khamenei and other senior Iranian officials and military personnel.
“The aircraft was used by Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of the Iranian terror regime, additional senior officials, and Iranian military personnel to advance military procurement and to manage coordination with axis countries through both domestic and international flights,” the statement said.

The military said the strike disrupted the Iranian leadership’s coordination with allied countries, military buildup, and ability to rehabilitate capabilities.
“As a result, another strategic asset of the regime has been degraded,” the statement said.
The IDF said it will continue operations against the means used by the military forces of the Iranian regime across Iran.
