Jewish singing legend Barbra Streisand will hold a concert in Israel for the first time ever in June, Channel 2 reported on Saturday.
According to the report, the American singer will perform twice at Bloomfield Stadium in Jaffa on June 15 and 16. The actress, singer and director performed at the Oscars last month for the first time in decades.
During last year’s US presidential race, Streisand threw her support behind another famous American set to visit Israel soon, President Barack Obama. In a National Jewish Democratic Council endorsement video, Streisand defended Obama’s Israel and Iran policies.
“President Obama continues to stand strongly with our ally Israel and in preventing Iran from getting nuclear weapons while implementing the strictest sanctions ever,” Streisand said in the video.
