Two Iranian warships docked in Sudan on Monday, French news agency AFP reported
Sudanese Army spokesman Sawarmi Khaled Saad said the warships, one of them a navy supply ship, had arrived in Port Sudan and then continue elsewhere, adding that during their port call, civilians could tour the Iranian ships.
In March, the Israel Navy intercepted the Iranian ship Klos C as it was heading to Port Sudan. On board the ship were 40 M-302 rockets, with a range of between 90 to 160 kilometers, hidden in crates.
It also carried 180 120mm. mortar shells and some 400,000 7.62 mm. bullets.
“These are advanced weapons that were intended to threaten the security of millions of Israeli civilians. The IDF will continue in its mission to prevent arms smuggling across the Middle East to various terrorist organizations, under Iranian cover and funding,” the IDF Spokesman's Office said in a statement.
