After 18 days of protests, the Egyptian people celebrate in Cairo's streets by waving flags and enjoying their new found freedom.

Eighteen days of protests demanding the resignation of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak were celebrated throughout Egypt on Saturday.

"This is the happiest day in my generation," said Ali al-Tayab, a demonstrator who paid tribute to those who died in clashes with police and Mubarak supporters. "To the martyrs, this is your day."
