Two men of African descent were briefly arrested on suspicions of being involved in the crime. They were interrogated and released several hours later. No other suspects have been arrested.

The police were investigating the incident and said that the woman may have been murdered following a disagreement or a robbery gone wrong.

An eyewitness reported seeing the woman walking with a dark-skinned man. Shortly afterward, she saw the woman laying on the sidewalk.

The identity of the woman remained unknown.
