The Cameri Theater of Tel Aviv has become a member of the European Theater Convention, a pan-European organization dedicated to the nurturing of coproductions among its 45 members from 23 nations. The Cameri, together with five other theaters, was admitted to the ETC in a ceremony at the Dresden National Theater in Germany. Cameri membership in ETC was proposed in light of the theater's high standards, its many appearances at international festivals and in recognition of the first International Theater Festival currently being held, together with Tel Aviv's centennial committee.
