The Suzanne Dellal Center in Jaffa will play host next month to Chinese choreographers who will bring four works, including Gao's Oath, to be performed by the Beijing Modern Dance Company. The Beijing company will perform from October 22-23 courtesy of the Chinese government as part of its tribute to Tel Aviv's centennial. Other performances at Suzanne Dellal this season include works by Taiwan's Shang Chi Sun (October 24-25), which won the 2008 choreography competition in Seoul, South Korea; Stravinsky's Rite of Spring with a contemporary African consciousness, by Company Hedy Maalem from France (November 2-3 and 5 in Haifa); as well local contributions from the Batsheva Dance Company and others. Plus, the center will feature a Japanese/Israeli/Spanish flamenco collaboration from Sylvia Duran. Ticket prices range from NIS 120 to NIS 300.
