Columbia Pictures is betting that a film about a cunning Israeli counter-terrorist turned New York hairdresser will score big laughs at the box office. Written by Judd Apatow, Robert Smigel and Adam Sandler, You Don't Mess With the Zohan will play on the stereotypes associated with the tough Israeli Mossadnik. A trailer of the film depicts Sandler as an Israeli (with a very bad accent), who despondently asks his parents when the fighting will end. "We've been fighting for 2000 years," his mother says. "It's bound to end soon!" The comedy, which will be released this summer, was produced by Sandler's company Happy Madison.
