Globus Group will open a new movie theater complex at Jerusalem's International Convention Center on September 17 to replace the one in the Malha Mall, which closes in mid-October to make way for a new H&M. According to Golubus Group, the new complex will include four theaters and will sport advanced equipment that was acquired for $1 million. There will also be a cafe on the second floor of the complex. The new equipment will allow the projection of digital films and 3-D movies and will first be put to the test with Quentin Tarantino's long-awaited Inglorious Basterds. "We thought that the residents of the capital and its outlying areas deserved a modern theater that can replace the aging theater at the Malha Mall," said Dedi Levi, the CEO of Globus Group. "We will provide Jerusalemites with the ultimate movie experience at Jerusalem's most central location." According to Mira Altman, the director general of the International Convention Center, the facility, located near the Central Bus Station and the entrance to Jerusalem, "is the most natural location for opening Jerusalem's main movie theater."
