The new season of Rehov Sumsum (Sesame Street) will be directed by Roni Niño for the Hop! channel and the Sesame Workshop. Niño is known for his work on Avoda Aravit, Merhak Negia and the theatrical version of Rain Man. In addition, classes are currently being held to teach puppeteers how to use the Sesame Workshop's Muppets. The final cast of actors for the show will be culled from these classes. Filming will begin this summer and the program will be on air in January.
