The Jerusalem Syndrome, a film by Stephane Bela?sch and Emmanuel Naccache. Now playing.

In the streets of the old city of Jerusalem, Jonas, a Frenchman, is running. He doesn't remember anything, he doesn't know who he is. Affected by the Jerusalem Syndrome, he is convinced that he is the prophet Jonah, and he is trying to escape the service of God. During his runaway, he is dragged off on an adventure with a Tel Avivian boy who has just come back from India, a Russian prostitute, a young yeshiva student with a streimel, a bad-tempered young soldier girl and a new-age waitress. This little band of people, who at first sight have nothing to do with each other, crosses the country in a sheirut taxi, pursued by a Georgian pimp and French government officials.
