Flowers are a good start, but what could be a better way to impress that special someone on Valentine’s Day than with an unforgettable meal at a romantic restaurant? Cozy up next to your longtime lover or new-found fling at one of the restaurants in your area offering special menus for Valentine’s Day.

The chef‘s restaurant Pushkin has prepared an international sensual menu filled with aphrodisiacs such as oysters, lobster, Porcini mushrooms, strawberries, chocolate bubbles and their own secret love cocktail. 27 Montefiore St., Tel Aviv. (03) 525-1501

Yoav Bar of Maraboo Ramat Gan invites his Valentine’s Day guests to a romantic dinner with strawberry cocktail, first and main dishes from the new winter menu and a Yin Yang dessert for two. There will be a sweet gift from the chef as well. 073-714- 2828. 14 Abba Hillel St., Ramat Gan

Cramim, the chef’s restaurant south of Tel Aviv in Segula, present a Valentine’s Day menu with many specials and a gift voucher for a 15- minute massage at a local spa. (08) 850-5859.

Idelson 10 is renowned for its pastries and desserts. For Valentine’s Day they prepared special heartshaped cookies, petit fours and cakes for two, to eat at the café or take home. At various locations in Tel Aviv and area.

If you find looking at the stormy sea to be romantic, Mundo offers that plus an early-bird celebration starting with a special breakfast at midnight before Valentine’s Day. A special apple Cava cocktail and heart-shaped truffle will be served on the house. 88 Hayarkon St., Tel Aviv. 057-944-3174

In the heart of picturesque Neveh Tzedek, Dellal bistro-cafe offers a sweet tasting menu served with dessert wines – four desserts with suitable wines. Dellal near the Suzanne Dellal Center.

A Latin dinner for lovers will be served at Vicky Cristina Tapas Bar in the Tachana compound in Tel Aviv, with special cocktails that are sure to send you home dizzy. 057-944-4144
