Blackfield, Aviv Geffen’s longstanding English-language musical collaboration with Porcupine Tree cult-rocker Steven Wilson, continues to bear fruit that Israeli audiences are lucky enough to reap.
The band, which released its fourth album, Blackfield IV, last year, is launching a multi-city European tour with a show on February 2 at Zappa Herzliya.
It’s the group’s first show since the release of the album, which witnessed Wilson’s partnership being scaled down to “guest” status and Geffen taking over the project.
The album also featured Jonathan Donahue of Mercury Rev and Brett Anderson of Suede.
Live however, Geffen and Wilson create a unique chemistry that has gained Blackfield international cult status.
