Acoustic soul band Tok Tok Tok's Nigerian-German vocalist Tokunbo Akinro and German saxophonist Morton Klein will combine jazz and soul in a performance this Friday at Tel Aviv's Center for the Performing Arts with the rest of their band. This will be quintent's first visit to Israel. Tok Tok Tok is based around the soul stylings of Akinro, whose voice has been compared to Aretha Franklin and Dionne Warwick, and Klein's sax. The group expanded to include a drummer, pianist and bassist. Part of the Jazz Plus series, the show will include original tunes by Klein exemplifying his affection for soul music alongside pop covers. The performance is at 10 p.m.
