Omer M. Wellber will take over as musical director for the Ra'anana Symphonette Orchestra. Wellber, who began his career with the Symphonette, will now run it, in conjunction with his other roles as conductor at the Israeli Opera and Daniel Barenboim's assistant at the opera in Berlin.
Wellber, 28, takes the place of Nir Kabaretti. Wellber was recently named Artist of the Year by Italy's Classical Voice magazine.
