Suzanne Vega has always counted Leonard Cohen among her biggest inspirations, so it's no surprise that she's still a fan. Her Web site displayed a big welcome message to Cohen when he performed in New York last month, and Vega was among the reverential fans in attendance at Radio City Music Hall. Cohen is slated to appear in Ramat Gan Stadium on September 24. "Leonard is fantastic, I thought it was a beautiful show," said Vega, describing the concert. But the icing on the cake for Vega came a few days after the show, when she got word that Cohen had asked her to open his July 11 show in Surrey, England. "It's both of our birthdays - what a great birthday present for me. I'd be surprised if we got together to perform, but who knows?"
