Yngwie Malmsteen to come to Israel

Legendary Swedish guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen will be making his Israel debut on April 27 at Hangar 11 in Tel Aviv.

Named by TIME magazine as one of the top 10 best electric guitarists of all time, the 47-year-old Malmsteen emerged as a standout virtuoso in the 1980s, releasing a string of mind-boggling albums displaying his nimble dexterity which often incorporated neo-classical leanings, high-speed picking and sweep picked arpeggios.
Malmsteen has continued to release solo albums, and in 2003, he joinedfellow gunslingers Joe Satriani and Steve Vai as part of the G3supergroup. In 2007, Malmsteen was honored in the Xbox 360 version ofGuitar Hero II. Players can receive the “YngwieMalmsteen Award” by hitting 1,000 or more notes in succession.
