For Lag Ba'omer Karmit is offering marshmallows wrapped together with thin wooden sticks so you can toast them directly on your holiday bonfire. It's best to first wet the sticks though, to prevent them from going up in flames. The pink and white marshmallows from the mix were okay, but the yellow-pink-white ones were judged less favorably by my kids. A bag is NIS 11. As an accompaniment for all the bonfires and picnics held in parks this time of year, Strauss Ahla has launched some limited editions of salads. The new salads are falafel-flavored humous, white tehina and coleslaw. The price for a 500 gr. container is NIS 15.69. For your convenience, Telma now has squeeze bottles of "real" mustard, and Dijon spread with mustard grains. The bottles stand on their head, so you won't have a problem getting the mustard right on your hot dog at your next barbecue. The price is NIS 13 to NIS 15 for 450 gr. Mei Eden has joined the trend of flavored water and now has a series called Mei Eden Active, in strawberry, apple and lemon-mint. The mineral waters are enriched with a sugar called palatinose, which supposedly keeps your energy at a steady level. The strawberry flavor was not judged favorably in my home; the other two were fine. The price for a half-liter bottle is NIS 6 to NIS 8, and a 1.5 liter bottle is NIS 7 to NIS 9. The new flavor of the Neviot Plus mineral waters with added vitamins is grape, which was also judged to be less tasty than the already existing apple and lemon-mint. A half-liter is NIS 5 to NIS 7, and 1.5 liter is NIS 6 to NIS 7. Nestlé ice creams have renewed their family-size containers, which now look more attractive, but for some reason required a little to much effort to open. For little bites of ice cream, you can try the Dibs, chocolate-covered cubes, which now also come in chocolate flavor. A very delicious treat are the My Cremissimo ice creams, which come in a package of three ice-cream cups, so you can enjoy your own treat. The My Cremissimo have three layers, and come in brownies-vanilla-bitter chocolate and brownies-coffee-pecan. The price for a three-pack is NIS 18. The new Branflakes with yogurt drops and red fruit by Supersol's own brand are quite delicious, and the yogurt drops aren't at all as sweet as I feared they would be; for added benefit, the yogurt contains added "active pro-biotica." The price for a 350 gr. package is NIS 24. A new snack from Bagel-Bagel is crackers that contain wheat, rye and poppy seeds. They come in individual-sized packages that contain only 99 calories. The price for 215 gr. is NIS 13.70.
